L’Oreal
has introduced and come up with a high
tech virtual makeup counter for clients, to solve makeup mistakes. The newly
app, called Makeup Genius, was developed by L’Oreal in partnership with a
company famous for its facial mapping in movies and video games. This app is
the first leading project to appear of a high-tech incubator that the beauty
company staring a year and a half ago.
Applying
a phone or tablet's built-in camera, users may virtually apply lip, eye and
cheek products On Screen Image. The
French beauty brand's new iPhone and iPad app allow users to virtually
experiment on over 300 beauty products at the press of a button. More 300

The
app turns the front-facing iPhone and iPad camera into a makeup mirror that
lets customers to virtually try on numerous 300 cosmetic products and see
immediately a different looks or complete makeovers on their own faces. They
can pout, sneer, pull in and out of changes in lighting or shadows, and the
virtual makeup stays like it had been painted on.
The
Makeup Genius first maps out its user's face, capturing up to 100 other angles
and expressions. It then applies the selected "filters" on the face. What's impressive is that they
stay in place when you turn your head to check out how you look.
The
app's developers examined the lip, eye and cheek products on hundreds of people
of changing ethnicities in 400 different lighting conditions. Coupled with the
app's facial mapping technology.
Allowing
that at that point there are 4 billion beauty-related search requests on Google
per year, the company would like to* establish itself at the vanguard of
connected beauty. Makeup Genius is the best possible algorithm able of
